ABSTRACT
The present invention is related to a helmet that is capable of providing immediate help to the vehicle rider if someone met with an accident. It provides help by sending information to prewritten contacts (such as Police, Ambulance, Family Members) in the form of SMS and it will also alert the people present on the road by means of the alarm so that immediate help could be provided to the rider without delay. This invention also provides a provision to alert the rider when rider crosses speed limit of that particular area which is predefined by traffic laws. An alert in form of blinking LED is given in case rider is not wearing a helmet. The objective of this invention is to provide safety to the rider by using a renewable source of energy (i.e. Solar Energy). So there is no need to worry about battery as solar power is used to operate the helmet. Figure: - 1

CLAIMS

1. An IoT based smart safety solar helmet,which comprising; helmet(1) characterized by further comprising a solar sheet (2), force sensor (3), GSM Module, GPS Module, microcontroller (4), alert mechanism (5), the head of user wearing the helmet (1),on the top of helmet (1) solar sheet (2) is attached to provide power to the components of helmet(1),the front side of helmet (1) a glass is empanelled on which force dependent resistor sensor (3) are installed, GPS Module and GSM Module are integrated with the microcontroller (4) is mounted on the helmet (1); alert mechanism (5) is installed beneath the shell structure of helmet (1).

2. The IoT based smart safety solar helmet as claimed in claim 1; wherein the helmet (1) is a skull like structure to be mounted on head.

3. The IoT based smart safety solar helmet as claimed in claim 1; wherein the solar sheet (2) is mounted on the top of the helmet to provide power to the components of the helmet (1).

The IoT based smart safety solar helmet as claimed in claim 1; wherein the force dependent resistor sensor (3) is empanelled on the front of the glass of the helmet (1), the force sensor (3) which absorbs the pressure and gives electric values to the microcontroller (4), microcontroller (4) which provides the information to third person in form of SMS.

The IoT based smart safety solar helmet as claimed in claim 1; wherein the GPS and GSM Module integrated with the microcontroller (4) to send information to the third person in form of SMS about the exact real-time location of the rider in terms of altitude and latitude to prewritten the contacts during accident.

6. The IoT based smart safety solar helmet as claimed in claim 1; wherein the alert mechanism which is installed beneath the shell structure of helmet (1) to alert about the speed limit of the vehicle in different areas.

7. The IoT based smart safety solar helmet as claimed in claim 1; wherein the LED light which provides an alert in form of blinking when helmet is not worn by the rider.


DESCRIPTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to IOT based smart safety solar helmet more particularly to a helmet capable of providing safety features and communication to police and relatives in case of accident or mishap.



BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

When a motorcyclist is involved in an accident, it is the brain that might be at a greater risk of injury. In order to protect the brain one must wear a helmet. A motorcycle helmet protects the skull and the brain from extensive damage. In last some decades many patents have filed in area of human safety. Many of these technologies were related to four wheeler and focused on seat belt. Very less work has been executed in human safety for two wheelers

Helmet in people's daily lives are often used, in order to protect the safety of the occupants motorcycle driving and riding a motorcycle one must wear a helmet, the workers at the mine work need to wear a helmet, soldiers often in combat or reconnaissance missions out also need to wear a helmet, police, fire-fighters and soldiers against terrorism is the need to wear a helmet with special features to protect their safety. Usually play in the art of helmet safety protection role, and some can also have communication capabilities to the helmet wearer and Information Centre or the exchange of information to others. However, soldiers or workers to work out alone, if an accident occurs, it is difficult to judge the environment surrounding the status and location of the accident at the time, to ascertain the facts will bring great difficulties; and a soldier to perform the task alone, In cases where it is impossible to always observe their all around.



U.S. Pat. Nos. 5,539,935, 6,589,189, 6,826,509, 6,941,952, 7,570,170 and published U.S. Patent Application number 2006/0189852 describe systems that attach accelerometers to a protective helmet, either on the exterior of the helmet itself, or on the surface of the pads forcing sensors into direct contact with the wearer's head. Some use a single sensor (1, 2 or 3 axis), while others use sensors positioned at various locations on the head or helmet.

US 20160210933 A1 discloses a smart helmet wirelessly connected to a server includes a main body, a central processing device, a sensing device, a communication transmitting/receiving device, an image projecting device, and a power supply. With these arrangements, the smart helmet can transmit different signals sensed by the sensing device to the central processing device. After being processed, the processed signals are uploaded to a cloud server via the communication transmitting/receiving device, and the cloud server sends data processed from the signals back to the central processing device via the communication transmitting/receiving device, then the data is turned to an image data to project. Or the smart helmet is capable of remotely monitoring a user's driving information and safety.

WO 2015162624 A2discloses about invention, when a person will wear a helmet, it will be confirmed by helmet wear sensor (photo diode). And alcohol sensor will confirm that the driver is not drunk. Then both photo diode and alcohol sensor will send their data about person to ADC.ADC will feed this data to controller by converting it into digital form. If person had been drunk then controller will send signal to receiver. But if person is not drunk then controller will send request for ignition to receiver through Bluetooth /Wi-Fi or any other way of transmission.

Prior arts being capable of providing so many safety features but all of them are kind of precautions taken before but none of them explain the safety features to be executed if user met with an accident or mishap. So a need for alert system arises to provide immediate help.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION



The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.



The main object of the present invention is to provide immediate help to the vehicle rider if someone met with an accident.



Another object of the present invention is to provide multiple numbers of sensors at different positions detect the force and will activate its safety system.



Another object of the present invention is to provide information to the Police, Ambulance and Family members in the form of SMS during accident to find out the location of the rider.



The foregoing and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become readily apparent upon further review of the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention mainly focus on the helmet capable of providing emergency alert to relatives, police, hospitals and people near the emergency area. Shortcomings of the prior art are overcome and additional advantages are provided through the provision of a wearable emergency alert helmet, comprising: a communication module or GSM module configured to communicate an alert in case of any emergency or accident. This alert is send to the predefined contacts stored in the communication module. Alert can be in the form of a message for help comprising the exact location of emergency situation Need for this invention is to provide the support to the emergency situations as soon as possible and actions for the emergency situations are operated by microcontroller on basis of the information received from sensors.

It is a an object of the present invention that helmet can be used for two wheeler rider and alert the rider about speed limits of different area , it is done by a blinking LED that will start blinking if the rider goes above a certain speed limit.

In an embodiment helmet , the present invention can be implemented in conjunction with other protective headgear including a hat, headband, mouth guard or other headgear used in sports, a hard hat or other industrial protection gear, other headgear and helmets worn by public safety or military personnel or other headgear or helmets. In addition, protective headgear can include a face mask, face guard, skull cap, chin strap, an ear piece such as ear plugs, a hearing aide, an ear mounted transceiver, an ear piece in contact with the bony area of the skull behind the ear or other ear piece or other gear that is either a separate component or is integrated with other headgear or other gear.

It is still further object of the present invention to provide a helmet to prevent causalities due to accidents, in a way that a buzzer alarm is employed into the helmet so that when force dependent resistor sensor measure impact on the helmet and if the impact value is above a threshold value then buzzer will produce an alarming sound to alert the people nearby about the accident.

Additional aspects, advantages, features and objects of the present disclosure would be made apparent from the drawings and the detailed description of the illustrative embodiments construed in conjunction with the appended claims that follow.

DETAIL DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

As required, detailed embodiments of the present invention are disclosed herein; however, it is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary of the invention which may be embodied in various forms. Therefore, specific structural and functional details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting, but merely as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to variously employ the present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed structure.

Various other objects, advantages, and features of the invention will become more readily apparent to those skilled in the art from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference numerals designate like parts throughout the figures thereof.

Figure 1 discloses the perspective view of the IOT based smart safety helmet 1, wherein the helmet comprises a skull like structure to be mounted on head, on the top of helmet 1 solar sheet 2 is attached to provide power to the components of helmet. On the front side of helmet a glass is empanelled on which force dependent resistor sensors 3 are installed.GPS and GSM module are integrated in the helmet. Buzzer is also not shown on the helmet as it is installed beneath the shell structure of helmet.

Figure 2 explains the system of working by helmet in the form of a process flow diagram. It starts when someone is riding a two wheeler and if the helmet is not worn by the rider then LED will blink or buzzer will alert. But if the helmet is present then helmet will check for speed limit of different areas. This is done by microcontroller (4) operations based on various information provided in the storage module of microcontroller (4) or communication module. If the speed limit is crossed by the rider then alert message will be provided either by LED or buzzer.

Main aspect of this invention is to prevent the causalities of accident so if any accident occurs microcontroller of the helmet will send a help message to all the predefined contacts stored in the storage module. Along with the help message location coordinates will also be sent in the message with the help of GPS. Also a buzzer sound will be produced to alert the people nearby about the accident.

Embodiments of the present disclosure substantially eliminate or at least partially address the aforementioned problems in the prior art, and provide an efficient advantage over them by providing a wearable helmet that can save a lot of lives, because most of the accidents occur due to delay in the treatment of patient. Like for example when a rider meets with an accident, he/she needs to be taken to the hospital but sometimes no one happen to be around then delay in their treatment cause severity, so to prevent this the present alert system that can immediately contact the hospitals, relatives, police etc. and will notify them about the accident occur with the exact location of the accident, so that help can be arrived as soon as possible.

While the disclosure has been presented with respect to certain specific embodiments, it will be appreciated that many modifications and changes may be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure. It is intended, therefore, by the appended claims to cover all such modifications and changes as fall within the true spirit and scope of the disclosure.

ADVANTAGES

1. It is more effective by using multiple number of pressure sensors to detect the hit on the helmet so it will work only when it experience a large amount of pressure.

2. It is easy to manufacture at large scale.

3. Gives the live location of the rider.

4. It eliminates the use of any external power as solar power is used to operate the circuit.

5. Automatically sends prewritten message to defined contacts if rider meet with an accident.

6. Gives warning sign on over speeding and in case helmet is not worn by rider.
