ABSTRACT
The invention relates to smart garbage control system, comprising of at least one garbage bin ; a Wifi module connected with garbage bin; a central control system associated to Wifi network ; at least one ultrasonic sensor placed over bin to detect the garbage level; and a buzzer placed on the outside portion of garbage bin. The method involved in the garbage control system, comprises the steps of connecting a plurality of garbage bins through a Wifi network; monitoring bins with the help of central control system; determining status of plurality of bins by measuring depth of bins by a sensor and raising a buzzer if the garbage level of said bins has crossed the predefined threshold value; and providing a graphical image of garbage level of said bins on the web page.

CLAIMS

1. A smart garbage control system, comprising; - at least one garbage bin ; - a Wifi module connected with said garbage bin for sending data; - a central control system associated to said Wifi network ; - at least one ultrasonic sensor placed over said bin to detect the garbage level; and - a buzzer placed on the outside portion of said garbage bin. - An integrated weight sensor at bottom of bin for recording internal pressure level - An LCD for displaying garbage level and messages - Odor regulating device for controlling the odor level of bins - A communication module for vending rewards.

2. The method involved in the garbage control system as claimed in Claim 1, comprises the steps of: - connecting a plurality of garbage bins through a Wifi network; - monitoring said bins with the help of central control system associated to said Wifi network ; - determining status of said plurality of bins by measuring depth of said bins by an ultrasonic sensor; - raising a buzzer if the garbage level of said bins has crossed the predefined threshold value; and - providing a graphical image of garbage level of said bins on the web page.

A smart garbage control system as claimed in claim 1-2; wherein a microcontroller for obtaining data values from the ultrasonic and weight sensor and providing responses to the garbage bin flap based on the values and the microcontroller is also connected to central control system through said wifi network.

4. A method for smart garbage control system as claimed in claims 1-3 ; wherein said communication module configured for vending one or more rewards to the end consumer if the amount of garbage disposal in bins matches the predefined threshold value for rewards.

5. The method involved in the garbage control system as claimed in claim1-4; wherein flaps of the dustbin will close automatically after receiving data from ultrasonic sensor about the garbage level of said bins that level has crossed the predefined threshold value and a notification in the form of message, email, alert will be send to the local managing authorities.


DESCRIPTION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to the field of waste management. More particularly, the invention relates to a smart garbage control system using a WIFI module and a method for the same, thereby providing a clean and healthy surrounding.



BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION



With the rapid development of the deepening of the process of urbanization and the economy, although improving people's living standards, but also brought some negative effects, in which a waste disposal problem is very important.

The total amount of waste presents a trend last year, in order to more easily do the recycling and waste disposal, in every corner of the city is basically set up in the trash. Because of the difference, the distribution of populations of the area, some parts of waste generated quickly, more particularly, the garbage will be thrown into the corresponding attachment trash. In general, urban sanitation workers are designated to clean up the trash in the garbage each, and can not be aware of each trash littering the case, and when a dustbin full of rubbish, other users can not timely rubbish to the trash, the user may directly next to the trash to garbage dumps, not only affect the environment, but also affect the city appearance.

Today's society, families, businesses, supermarkets, shopping malls trash their own characteristics, did not form a fast and effective automated intelligent trash, requires a lot of manpower and labor, waste a lot of time and effort. Thus, the development of intelligent control method for a reasonable automation trash to meet the rapid, accurate and convenient garbage disposal needs, intelligent automation of intellectual life

In existing janitorial services for commercial buildings, the process for managing garbage bins involves having facility workers manually inspect every garbage bin periodically during the day and provide cleanup when service is found needed during such inspections. The process for servicing the bins for document disposal, especially confidential documents, is similar, typically requiring a shredding service to periodically empty the bins.

CN 204137680 U discloses an intelligent garbage can which comprises a garbage can body. A garbage input opening is formed in the upper portion of the garbage can body. The intelligent garbage can is characterized in that the garbage can body is provided with a center control box, at least one photoelectric sensor, a gravity sensor and a solar battery module set, the center control box comprises a GPS module, a data processing module and an indicator lamp, the signal output end of the data processing module is connected with the GPS module and the signal input end of the indicator lamp, the data processing module is connected with a remote computer server through a wireless network, the signal output end of the gravity sensor is connected with the signal input end of the data processing module, the signal output end of the photoelectric sensor is connected with the signal input end of the data processing module, and the power source end of the data processing module is connected with the output end of the solar battery module set. The intelligent garbage can improves the processing speed of garbage in the garbage can, and is more environmentally friendly.

The prior art does not explicitly talk about the buzzer to indicate the threshold value and further it does not clearly disclose about an IP to check the amount of garbage on a webpage.

Accordingly, it would be a significant advancement in the art to provide a smart garbage control system using a WIFI module and a method for the same, thereby providing a clean and healthy surrounding and making the city smart.

Said system comprises of a Wifi module; a ultrasonic sensor and a buzzer, integrated weight sensor, odor regulating device and a reward vending communication module.



OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art.

An object of the present invention is to provide a smart garbage control system using a WIFI module and a method for the same, thereby providing clean and healthy surrounding.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a smart garbage control system using a WIFI module that is of assistance in MNC’s ,Airport ,Cities etc. where cleanliness is an important issue and could be employed in Municipal Corporation ,Multinational Companies, Industries and Shopping complex, etc.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a smart garbage control system that keeps the city clean by informing about the garbage levels of the bins by providing graphical image of the bins via web development platform.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a smart garbage control system that uses ultrasonic sensors placed over the bins to detect the garbage level and compare it with the garbage bins depth.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a smart garbage control system, wherein no physical monitoring of the garbage system is required.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a smart garbage control system which is simple in design, profitable, efficient and reliable.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been developed to create a smart garbage control system using a WIFI module and a method for the same, thereby providing a clean and healthy surrounding.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the smart garbage control system, comprises of ;

- at least one garbage bin ;

- a Wifi module connected with said garbage bin;

- a central control system associated to said Wifi network ;

- at least one ultrasonic sensor placed over said bin to detect the garbage level; and

- a buzzer placed on the outside portion of said garbage bin.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the depth of the garbage is measured by an ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04) that provides a continuous reading to the WiFi Module.

According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method involved in the garbage control system, comprises the steps of :

- connecting a plurality of garbage bins through a Wifi network;

- monitoring said bins with the help of central control system associated to said Wifi network ;

- determining the status of said plurality of bins on a screen by measuring depth of said bins by an Ultrasonic Sensor;

- raising a buzzer if the garbage level of said bins has crossed the predefined threshold value; and

- providing a graphical image of level of said bins on the web page.

According to another embodiment of the present invention, the web page highlights the garbage collected in color in order to show the level of garbage collected; red color determines completely filled bin ; blue color determines partially filled bin and yellow color determines empty bin.

While the invention has been described and shown with particular reference to the preferred embodiment, it will be apparent that variations might be possible that would fall within the scope of the present invention.

According to an embodiment garbage bin of the present invention can include the feature of providing an incentive or reward for a consumer disposing garbage into the garbage bins. The bins can vend coupons (e.g. free food, discounted food), prizes, chips, money, toys, gifts, or other items of value to the consumer. Alternatively, the bins can have a light show, music, verbal entertainment, internet links connecting consumers to prize sites, or other activities of value to the consumer. Rewards will be provided based on the condition If the weight of the waste product disposed inside the bin is greater than the predefined threshold value, then only it will pass a message to vending machine and person standing outside will be eligible for reward otherwise only a message will be displayed on screen “THANK YOU.”

It will be appreciated that features of the present disclosure are susceptible to being combined in various combinations without departing from the scope of the present disclosure as defined by the appended claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As required, detailed embodiments of the present invention are disclosed herein; however, it is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary of the invention, which may be embodied in various forms. Therefore, specific structural and functional details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting, but merely as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to variously employ the present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed structure.

Various other objects, advantages, and features of the invention will become more readily apparent to those skilled in the art from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference numerals designate like parts throughout the figures thereof.

Figure 1 discloses the garbage bin 01 of smart garbage control system wherein the figure shows a box like structure with open flaps 04 which will be opened with the help of motors 07 after receiving command from microcontroller 08 about the threshold level of garbage bin 01. Ultrasonic sensors 02 are attached just below the flaps 04 for measuring the garbage level in the bin 01 Front side of the garbage bin 01 shows a reward vending mechanism 05 . On the same said front side one LCD 06 is attached to display the values and information. Integrated weight sensor 03 is installed at the bottom of the garbage bin 01. For effective wireless monitoring, there is a WIFI Module (ESP8266 NodeMCU Wi-Fi Wireless Transceiver Development Board)(not shown in the figure).A odor regulating device is integrally placed in the garbage bin 01 which is used to remove the odor from the bin. Further a buzzer not shown in figure is also present in the garbage bin 01

Reffering to figure 2 shows the smart garbage control system wherein method of working is described as placing of garbage on integrated weight sensor 03 after which the weight is determined and simultaneously the ultrasonic sensor 02 calculates the level of garbage in garbage bin 01 and All this data from sensor 02 and 03 is being shared with the microcontroller that is interconnected to central control system associated to said wifi module for determining the status of said plurality of bins and raising the buzzer (not shown) A graphical image of garbage level is maintained for every garbage bin connected to the central control system. Another view of monitoring is also visible through central control system wherein the use of WIFI module is that with IP addressing the status of the garbage bins can be checked timely and updated online through IOT (Internet of Things). There is a Central Control System that will continuously monitor the bins connected through Wi-Fi network. As the CCS (Central Control System) will login to an IP System, the status of the containers will be displayed with different colors (Red-Filled, Blue-Mediately Filled, Yellow-Empty) As an objective of this invention some threshold values for ultrasonic sensor 02 and weight sensor 03 have been predefined.At the time when garbage level of bin 01 is filled the buzzer is raised and simultaneously microcontroller will initiate the motor 07 for closing of flaps 04 to avoid spilling of garbage. Similarly for reward vending mechanism 05 a threshold value for disbursing awards has been set so that for availing rewards a minimum weight requirement of garbage must be fulfilled. An LCD 06 is disclosed in the figure 2 for displaying the live garbage levels in the garbage bin 01 and also for displaying short messages and instructions related to vending mechanism
