ABSTRACT
A self-defense device for injecting an attacker with a repellent comprising a wrist gear, a reservoir (2) carrying the repellent suitably disposed over the wrist gear, at least one needle (1) operably connected to the reservoir (2), an actuator (7) operably connected to the reservoir (2); wherein actuating the actuator (7) pumps the repellent through the needle (1). CLAIMS

WE CLAIM:
1) A self-defense device for injecting an attacker with a repellent comprising: a) a wrist gear; b) a reservoir (2) carrying said repellent suitably disposed over said wrist gear; c) at least one needle (1) operably connected to said reservoir (2); d) an actuator (7) operably connected to said reservoir (2); wherein actuating said actuator (7) pumps said repellent through said needle (1). 2) The self-defense device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said actuator (7) comprises at least two springs and a washer (4) suitably disposed in said reservoir (2); a first spring and a second spring; said washer (4) is operably connected to said second spring wherein actuating said actuator (7) actuates simultaneously said first spring to suitably position said needle (1) for injecting said repellent and said second spring to force washer (4) to pump said repellent through said needle (1). 3) The self-defense device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said reservoir (2), said needle (1) and said actuator (7) is disposed within a holder (9). 4) The self-defense device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said actuator (7) is a push button. 5) The self-defense device as claimed in claim 2 and 4, wherein said actuator (7) having a locking knob (8)comprising said first spring and said second spring. 6) The self-defense device as claimed in claim 5, wherein said locking knob (8)locks said needle (1) suitably in closed position. 7) The self-defense device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said actuator (7) actuates said needle (1) perpendicularly for injecting said repellent. 8) The self-defense device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said repellent is sedation liquid or gas. 9) The self-defense device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said hand gear (10) is a bracelet or wristlet or bangle.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a self defense hand gear. More particularly, this invention relates to a self defense hand gear or bracelet wear by a user on their wrist wherein when a user experience any assaulting, molesting, rape or any violent crime may actuate the device to inject a repellent in the body of the attacker to tranquillize or sedate the attacker.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In today’s world, it is mandatory that one should take precautions to protect and secure ourselves in the event that a criminal situation arises. Many countries including India experiencing various cases wherein a woman is being molested or assaulted. This is a known fact that respect and safety is the biggest concern of the nation. Large numbers of cases are getting registered of molesting, rape which is shame for country and their citizen. There are often news stories about women or men who attacked while jogging or walking at night. It is often advisable to carry some type of self-protection device. There currently exist several means for protection, including carrying weapons, whistles, or various types of self-defense sprays.

One of the major issues is that when these devices are actually needed in extreme situation. The user feels helpless as they are usually not easily accessible to a person in a dangerous situation. For example, if a person was mugged, or attacked from behind by an assailant, it is unlikely that they would have the time or opportunity to reach in their purse or pocket to obtain whatever means of protection they may be carrying. It is also well known that in some instances weapons can actually be retrieved by the attacker and used on the person carrying the weapon. Several attempts have been made to alleviate the drawbacks of carrying weapons.

CN104094078 discloses an invention A protective device to be worn around the wrist of the user may include a wristband to be positioned around the wrist of the user and a hand band to be positioned around the wrist of the user in a first state and to be positioned around the hand of the user in a second state. The wristband may include a nerve point tool to scratch an assailant. The hand band may include a nerve point tool to scratch an assailant. However, this invention only helps the user to scratch the assailant. However, it may possible assailant may bear the scratches and thereafter try to assault the user.

US5358144 discloses a bracelet containing a chamber for storing a chemical repellent such as mace may be inconspicuously worn by individuals and, when needed, can be used to protect the wearer in case they are attacked by pressing an activation button for spraying the attacker with the repellent. The bracelet can also contain an audible warning or alarm device such as a horn. However, repellent spraying can harm the victim as well since spray will be in spread all across the crime scene.

US 6223744 discloses a wearable aerosol delivery apparatus for releasing an aerosol with an active ingredient into an oral or nasal passage of a user. The apparatus comprises a housing comprising a first and a second surface, the first surface being adapted to be disposed against a wrist of the user, the housing defining a reservoir (2) for containing the aerosol under pressure, an aerosol release mechanism connected with the reservoir (2) for releasing a dose of the aerosol from the reservoir (2) when actuated, and a fastener member attached to the housing to fasten the housing onto the user's wrist, whereby the apparatus is worn by the user and effective for delivering the active ingredient into the user's passage on demand. However, the product faces the same problem and drawback as realised by US6223744.

Therefore, there is a need of a compact device which can be easily wearable by user and can be efficiently use at the time of the dangerous situation. The device should also be eco friendly so that the victim should also be secured.

OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION

The main object of the invention is to provide a self defense hand gear (10) that can be easily wear by the user and may be use in the dangerous situation without delay.

Another object of the invention is to provide a device having a opening mechanism which works efficiently and quickly.

Yet another object of the invention is to provide a device which is cost effective and easily reproducible due to use of less part.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A self-defense device for injecting an attacker with a repellent comprising a wrist gear, a reservoir (2) carrying the repellent suitably disposed over the wrist gear, at least one needle (1) operably connected to the reservoir (2), an actuator (7) operably connected to the reservoir (2); wherein actuating the actuator (7) pumps the repellent through the needle (1).

In another embodiment, the actuator (7) comprises at least two springs and a washer (4) suitably disposed in the reservoir (2); a first spring and a second spring; the washer (4) is operably connected to the second spring wherein actuating the actuator (7) actuates simultaneously the first spring to suitably position the needle (1) for injecting the repellent and the second spring to force washer (4) to pump the repellent through the needle (1).

In another embodiment, the reservoir (2), the needle (1) and the actuator (7) is disposed within a holder. The actuator (7) may be a push button.

In another embodiment, actuator (7) may have a locking knob (8)comprising the first spring and the second spring.

In another embodiment, the locking knob (8)locks the needle (1) suitably in closed position.

In another embodiment, the actuator (7) actuates the needle (1) perpendicularly for injecting the repellent.

In another embodiment, the repellent is sedation liquid or gas.

In another embodiment, the hand gear (10) is a bracelet or wristlet or bangle.

Fig. 1 illustrates needle (1) mechanism use in the self defense hand gear (10). The needle (1) mechanism comprises a reservoir (2) for carrying repellent. The repellent may be a chemical repellent, liquid repellent, gas repellent or any other repellent or sedation liquid which may be harmful to the attacker. Preferebly, sedation liquid is being used to sedate the attacker which provides time to victim to escape the crime scene. A needle (1) attached with the reservoir (2) for injecting the same in the body of the attacker. A needle (1) may be one inch or two inch long depends on the user. Needle (1) is connected to the reservoir (2). A washer (4), also commonly own as seal is being placed in the reservoir (2) which is connected through spring. A spring (5) may be made of any material and may have any shape depending on the elasticity required for particular device. The spring is preferably of the length 3-4 centimetre long. The length of the spring may vary depending on the elasticity required. The spring (5) is mounted through an actuator (7) or here called as button (7). The actuator (7) when actuated or the button is when being pushed will tend to apply force over the seal or washer (4) which will push the repellent through the needle (1).

Fig. 2 illustrates the push mechanism to force the repellent through syringe. The push mechanism comprises an actuator (7), locking knobs, and spring (6). The spring (6) preferably is 1 centimetre. The size, material or length of the spring may vary depend on the elasticity required during the operation of the device. The device also carries a locking knobs which is a rotating knob (8)having flange at particular distance. The flange keep the needle (1) in a horizontal position or closed position normally when not rotated. The rotating or locking knob (8)is connected with spring (5) as well as spring (6). The actuator (7) is connected to locking knob (8)through spring (6). As soon as actuator (7) or button is being pushed the locking knob (8)rotates, the spring coiling action will tend the flange of the locking knob (8)to move which will unlock the positioning of the needle (1) to injecting angle. Preferably, 90o, is also called as open position or vertical position.

Fig. 3 illustrated exploded view of the needle (1) mechanism and push mechanism; it also shows the process of sedation. The figure shows a self-defense device for injecting an attacker with a repellent comprising a wrist gear, a reservoir (2) carrying the repellent suitably disposed over the wrist gear, at least one needle (1) operably connected to the reservoir (2), an actuator (7) operably connected to the reservoir (2); wherein actuating the actuator (7) pumps the repellent through the needle (1). The actuator (7) comprises at least two springs and a washer (4) suitably disposed in the reservoir (2); a first spring and a second spring; the washer (4) is operably connected to the second spring wherein actuating the actuator (7) actuates simultaneously the first spring to suitably position the needle (1) for injecting the repellent and the second spring to force washer (4) to pump the repellent through the needle (1). This whole mechanism is mounted over hang gear with the help of holder (9).

Fig. 4 illustrates the perspective view of self defense hand gear (10). It shows a bracelet wherein a holder (9) is mounted the holder (9) may have a lever or an actuator (7) or button which can actuate the process of defence while an attacker assaulting the victim. The actuator (7) when actuated will push the spring (6) as well as spring (5) will tends to perform their actions of pushing the repellent to the needle (1) and pushing the repellent out of the needle (1) this whole device is mounted over the bracelet b the help of the holder (9) which carrying all the embodiments like reservoir (2), needle (1), locking knobs, actuator (7) over the bracelet. The holder (9) shape and size varies and which also do not hamper the spirit of the invention. Wrist band or hand gear (10) will have Needle (1) and push mechanism which would preferably place in the holder (9) and the complete assembly is attached to the wrist band or hand gear (10).

The women or the girl will wear the wrist band on her wrist. Under mischievous circumstances she can use the power of self defense through the wrist band. Intiallt, she has to press the actuator (7) through spring (6), which will start the process of pushing the needle (1) out of the band. Spring (5) will push the seal of the injection which will force the liquid to come out of the needle (1) to the attacker body. Slowly the sedition or repellent liquid will enter into the body of the attacker as the girl hits the body of the attacker with the needle (1) and will help the victim to escape from the crime scene.

While the invention has been shown and described with reference to certain exemplary embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
